COVID-19 Stay Informed With The NY Times For FREE Using Your LA City Library Card
Do you need to stay informed during this critical time?. You can read The New York Times and The Washington Post for FREE using your Los Angeles Public Library card.
I often see interesting headlines from the New York Times and The Washington Post regarding the spread of the Coronavirus, but once I click on the link, I am prompted to subscribe for a weekly, monthly, or yearly fee.
The LA City Public Library has a good variety of newspapers that you can access for free!.
Here's how you can have FREE access to the news (using The New York Times as a sample):
1- Go to www.lapl.org and click on GET A LIBRARY CARD
2- Apply for an E-card (if you already have a card, skip this step)
3- You will receive an email with your login and 4 digit password (if you already have a card, skip this step).
4- Input your e-card number and your four-digit pin (your pin is the last four digits of the phone number you used to create your account)
or input your physical card number and your 4 digit pin.
5- Create an account with The New York Times
6- Pick your subjects of interest
7- Enjoy the news!
